The Wig
Every wig is built to the same specification. One construction. One standard. No shortcuts.
The base is built on 30 denier lace at the front and parting, with 40 denier lace at the back for durability. The hairline is 3 inches of single-knotted hair. The parting is a 3×6 inch cross-knotted section. Double knots are used on the back; under knots are placed at the seam.
You choose your parting placement (left, right, or middle), your colour, your length, and your texture. Clip attachments are optional. Everything else is built to specification.
Minor trimming for style is included. Fittings, major cuts, and colour services are not - and are not needed.

Follow the instructions to take your head mold at home. Post it back in the prepaid envelope.
I inspect the mold within 48 hours. If it needs redoing, I will advise you.
I build your wig by hand to the standard specification. Estimated build time 4-8 weeks from mold approval.
I quality-check, trim for style, and ship in signature packaging.
What Is Not Included
Build a Wig is a construction service. Fittings, major cuts, colour, and styling are not included. Minor trimming for style is included. For anything beyond the standard specification, referrals to a specialist consultancy are available on request.

Mold kits are available for purchase. £75. The kit includes everything you need to take your head mold at home, with full instructions. If you already have the materials and knowledge to take your own mold, that is fine too.

The Maker
I am Lynn Cross. I am a qualified professional wigmaker with over 15 years of experience in the hair industry.
My career has spanned hairdressing, specialist wigmaking, film, television, theatre, and high-profile red carpet and editorial events. I have built wigs for private clients, session stylists, and some of the most watched moments in fashion.
I am meticulous. I spend as long sourcing the perfect hair as I do overseeing the build itself. Every wig that leaves my hands has been quality-checked against the same exacting standard - because there is only one standard.
Build a Wig exists because I believed the process of commissioning a bespoke wig had become overcomplicated. Too many consultations. Too many options. Too much noise. So I stripped it back to what actually matters: your head, your hair, one specification, built properly.
